Meet Dr. Mgcini Desmond Thwala

Dr. Mgcini Desmond Thwala is a highly qualified Specialist Paediatrician dedicated to protecting and advancing children’s health. His clinical approach integrates rigorous academic training with a gentle, parent-aligned communication style.
Dr. Thwala commenced his medical journey at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where he completed his foundational undergraduate medical degree (MBChB). Driven by a distinct commitment to child health, he earned a post-graduate Diploma in Child Health through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA).
To provide the highest level of clinical intervention, he pursued intensive postgraduate specialization in paediatrics. He successfully achieved his professional Fellowship from the College of Paediatricians of South Africa, alongside a Master of Medicine in Paediatrics from the University of the Witwatersrand. Today, he leverages this deep expertise to lead his team in managing comprehensive paediatric cases, complex neonatal care, and pediatric respiratory and allergic conditions.
